Sharon Small  has been cast in West Yorkshire Playhouse’s stage adaptation of Still Alice.
Adapted from the novel of the same name by Lisa Genova, Small takes the title role, and will be joined by Ruth Gemmell, Dominic Mafham, Andrew Rothney, Alais Lawson, Clara Indrani and Micah Balfour.
David Grindley is directing the play, which has been adapted by Christine Mary Dunford.
The play, about a university professor diagnosed with early-onset Alzheimer’s at the age of 50, will run from February 9 to March 3 with a press night on February 14.
It is designed by Jonathan Fensom, with lighting by Jason Taylor, sound by Gregory Clarke and Francesca Jaynes as movement director.
Wendy Mitchell, who has dementia, is part of the creative team as a consultant.
