Samuel Barnett and Declan Bennett cast in Menier’s Kiss of the Spider Woman

Samuel Barnett and Declan Bennett have been cast in a new stage adaptation of the novel Kiss of the Spider Woman.

Manuel Puig’s novel has been adapted by Jose Rivera and Allan Baker and runs at London’s Menier Chocolate Factory from March 8 to May 5.

Barnett’s credits include the original cast of The History Boys and The Beaux’ Strategem, while he has previously appeared at the Menier in Dealer’s Choice. Bennett has appeared in Regent’s Park Open Air Theatre’s Jesus Christ Superstar, as well as West End musical Once.

The production is directed by Laurie Sansom, with design by Jon Bausor, lighting by Paul Anderson and sound by Philip Pinsky. Projections are by Andrzej Goulding.

Press night will be on March 21.
