Ruthie Henshall, Sarah Soetaert and Josefina Gabrielle are to join the cast of Chicago when it returns to the West End next month.

Henshall will play Mama Morton in the Kander and Ebb musical, with Soetaert as Roxie Hart and Gabrielle playing Velma Kelly.

All three have performed in the show in the West End before, with Henshall having originated the role of Roxie Hart in London when the musical opened there in 1997.

They will perform alongside the previously announced Cuba Gooding Jr as Billy Flynn.

The musical runs at the Phoenix Theatre from March 26, returning to the West End following a five-year hiatus. It is currently booking until June 23.

It is directed by Walter Bobbie, with choreography by Ann Reinking, in the style of Bob Fosse. It is produced by Barry and Fran Weissler.
