Ray Quinn to lead Summer Holiday UK tour
Ray Quinn has been cast in the lead role in a new tour of Summer Holiday.
Quinn rose to fame after he came second in The X Factor in 2006, and has since gone onto appear in musicals including Grease, Dirty Dancing and most recently The Wedding Singer.
He will play Don, the role made famous by Cliff Richard in the 1963 film of the same name, with further casting to be announced.
The tour sets off from Liverpool Empire on May 8, before visiting locations across the UK until November 3.
Summer Holiday is adapted for the stage by Michael Gyngell and Mark Haddigan and directed and choreographed by Racky Plews, with orchestrations by Keith Strachan.
It is produced by David King.
