Olivier award-winning performer Lorna Want is to star in a new one-woman musical about an out-of-work actress.

Girl in a Crisis is written by Andrew Fisher and is produced by SimG Productions. It will be directed by Simon Greiff.

The show is described as a “jazzy song cycle” and its title song was shortlisted for this year’s Stiles and Drewe New Song Prize at the Stephen Sondheim Society Student Performer of the Year.

It will premiere at Crazy Coqs, as part of Live at Zedel in London, running for two nights from November 26.

Want’s credits include Beautiful, for which she won the 2015 Olivier award for best actress in a supporting role in a musical for her performance as Cynthia Weil.
