Linzi Hateley to star in UK tour of Blood Brothers
Linzi Hateley is to star in the 2018 UK tour of Blood Brothers.
She will play Mrs Johnston in the Bill Kenwright production of the musical, written by Willy Russell.
It opens at the Churchill Theatre in Bromley on September 4.
Hateley said the role was one she had “secretly dreamed of playing”, adding: “I’m thrilled to finally get the chance to fulfill a dream.”
Hateley’s previous credits include Donna in Mamma Mia! and the narrator in Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, alongside Jason Donovan.
The cast for Blood Brothers also includes Sarah Jane Buckley, Mark Hutchinson, Tim Churchill and Andy Owens.
It is directed by Kenwright and Bob Tomson, with design by Andy Walmsley, sound by Dan Samson, musical direction by Tim Whiting and lighting by Nick Richings.
The tour plays at venues incluing the Hawth Theatre in Crawley and the New Wimbledon Theatre, concluding at the New Theatre in Oxford on December 1.
