Kate O’Flynn, Jessica Barden and Russell Tovey have been cast in a West End season of Harold Pinter plays.
Antony Sher, Hayley Squires and Luke Thallon will also join previously announced cast members who include Tamsin Greig, David Suchet and Martin Freeman.
Pinter at the Pinter runs at the Harold Pinter Theatre from September to February 2019 to mark the 10th anniversary of Pinter’s death.
It has also been announced that the first ever performance of Pinter’s recently discovered comedy sketch, The Pres and an Officer, will be presented as part of the season from September 6 to October 20, directed by Jamie Lloyd.
On the same evening, Sher and O’Flynn join the previously-announced Paapa Essiedu and Maggie Steed in the first programme of the season, which features One for the Road, The New World Order, Mountain Language and Ashes to Ashes, directed by Lloyd and Lia Williams.
Downton Abbey actor Penelope Wilton is to make 12 special guest appearances, performing the monologue, Tess, which was written for her by Pinter, from November 19 as part of the performances of Landscape and A Kind of Alaska, starring Keith Allen and Greig.
Squires and Tovey will appear in The Lover and The Collection.
Barden, who is known for Netflix series The End of the F**king World, will lead Night School, while Luke Thallon will feature as part of the Patrick Marber-directed series of plays including The Room, Victoria Station and Family Voices.
The season is presented by the Jamie Lloyd Company, ATG Productions, Ben Lowy Productions, Gavin Kalin Productions and Glass Half Full Productions.
