Theatre PR David Bloom is leaving Target Live after 19 years to set up his own live entertainment agency, Story House.
Bloom, who is deputy managing director and head of PR for Target Live, will take several high-profile theatre clients to his new agency, including 42nd Street, Strictly Ballroom and the forthcoming production of Sam Shepard’s True West.
Under Bloom’s leadership, Story House will also represent Marianne Elliott’s production of Company, which opens in the West End next month.
Nada Zakula, who is currently working in-house for Elliott and Chris Harper’s production company Elliott and Harper, will join Story House as a senior publicist.
The company will be a partnership with the Reach4entertainment group, which owns theatre marketing company Dewynters.
Bloom told The Stage: “With both the market and media landscape ever changing, it’s an exciting and challenging time to be crafting stories for audiences that are growing increasingly diverse.
“The best campaigns are driven by strategy: the right channel, at the right time, with the right message. I want Story House to be at the forefront of this, fully integrating PR with paid media and social, to ensure all elements of a campaign are working together.”
