Christopher Biggins to be head judge of West End Bake Off 2018
Christopher Biggins will return as head judge for this year’s West End Bake Off, which takes place next week.
The baking competition is now in its fourth year, in aid of fundraising organisation Acting for Others, which supports 15 theatre-based charities including the Actors’ Children’s Trust, Denville Hall and Theatre Chaplaincy UK.
Biggins, who last judged the competition in 2016, joins a panel that also includes the previously announced Ruthie Henshall and Wendi Peters.
Shows competing this year include last year’s winners 42nd Street, Hamilton, Chicago Mamma Mia! and Everybody’s Talking About Jamie.
Cakes will be judged at 10.30am on May 19, and the winners will be announced at 11am, when the Bake Off will open to the public to buy cakes and signed posters, as well as meet cast and crew from the shows. There will also be a tombola to win West End tickets.
