British actors Billie Piper, Noma Dumezweni and Andrew Garfield have been nominated for this year’s Drama League Awards in New York.

They are nominated in the distinguished performance category for Yerma, Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, and Angels in America respectively. Other UK actors nominated include Harry Potter’s Anthony Boyle, Rebecca Hall, who is nominated for Animal, Tom Hollander, who is up for Travesties, Glenda Jackson, who is nominated for Three Tall Women and Johnny Flynn, whose nod is for Hangmen.

Hangmen is one of two UK productions up for the outstanding production of a Broadway or Off-Broadway show award, alongside Harry Potter and the Cursed Child.

The National Theatre’s Angels in America is nominated for the outstanding revival prize, for which Yerma, which originated at the Young Vic, and Travesties, which ran at the Menier Chocolate Factory, are also nominated.

The prizes will be presented on May 18 in New York.
