Bat Out of Hell to close in the West End

Bat Out of Hell – The Musical has announced it is to close in the West End on January 5, 2019.

The musical is currently playing in the Dominion Theatre, where it opened on April 2.

Meanwhile, a North American tour of the musical is to open in Toronto, Canada on October 16, and a German language premiere opens in Oberhausen, Germany on November 2.

Bat Out of Hell extended its run to January 5 in May, originally due to run until July 22.  The Stage Debut Award Winner Andrew Polec, who plays the lead character left the musical on September 1.

The musical has book, music and lyrics by Jim Steinman and is directed by Jay Scheib.

It is produced by David Sonenberg, Michael Cohl, Randy Lennox and Tony Smith.
