Tyrone Huntley will return to Regent’s Park Open Air Theatre when it revives its production of Jesus Christ Superstar in August.

Huntley plays Judas in the production, which was named best musical revival at this year’s Olivier Awards.

Also resuming their roles are Declan Bennett as Jesus, David Thaxton as Pilate and Peter Caulfield as Herod.

The production has also announced an extension of its run from August 11 to September 23. It was originally running until September 16.

Following its run at the theatre, the show will transfer to the Lyric Opera of Chicago in April 2018.

Music is by Andrew Lloyd Webber and lyrics by Tim Rice. Timothy Sheader directs, with design by Tom Scutt, lighting by Lee Curran and sound by Nick Lidster.

Further casting is to be announced.
