Two rep companies for Theatre by the Lake’s summer season
Theatre by the Lake in Keswick has announced that it will have two repertory companies of actors in its summer season for the first time this year.
The two ensembles will perform across five productions playing in repertoire.
In the theatre’s main house will be a revival of Terence Rattigan’s play After the Dance, Moira Buffini’s Handbagged, and As You Like It.
Howard Brenton’s adaptation of August Strinberg’s Miss Julie will play in the studio space alongside the world premiere of Remarkable Invisible by American playwright Laura Eason.
Richard Keightley, Izabella Urbanowicz, Matthew Mellalieu, Alex Parry, James Sheldon, Layo-Christina Akinlude, Adam Buchanan, Matthew Darcy, Josie Dunn, Charlotte Hamblin, Nathan Hamilton and Jessica Hayles comprise one of the two companies.
The other features Matt Addis, Ian Barritt, Emma Carter, Eliza Hunt, Alice Selwyn and Julia Watson.
The season runs from May 25 to November 4.
