The Toxic Avenger to transfer to the Arts Theatre
Musical The Toxic Avenger is to return to London with a run at the Arts Theatre in London.
The show had its UK premiere in London last year, at Southwark Playhouse, and will now run at the Arts Theatre for a 10-week run from September 28.
It will have a press night on October 2.
Prior to the London run, the production will play at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe. Details for this run are yet to be announced.
Based on the 1984 film of the same name, the musical is written by Joe DiPietro and David Bryan – the writing duo behind Memphis the Musical.
Directed by Benji Sperring and choreographed by Lucie Pankhurst, it has musical direction by Alex Beetschen and lighting by Nic Farman.
The Toxic Avenger is produced by Katy Lipson for Aria Entertainment and Derek Nicol and Paul Walden for Flying Entertainment.
