Tamsin Greig and Liam Neeson to perform in radio monologue series
Actors including Liam Neeson and Tamsin Greig are to star in a series of radio monologues for the BBC.
Six short monologues have been co-commissioned by BBC Radio 3 and the BBC Writersroom to celebrate BBC Music Day on June 15.
The specially commissioned works will be broadcast throughout the day on Radio 3, performed by Neeson and Greig, alongside Kayvan Novak, Julie Hesmondhalgh, Sophie Wu and Daniel Mays.
Six writers were given their first commissions for the BBC as part of the project. They are Salim Allybokus, Jan Carson, Ross Dunmore, Emily De Dakis, Grace Knight and Amy Ng.
The monologues will each last five minutes and are all themed around the power of music.
They are produced by Justine Potter with Anne Edyvean as executive producer.
