The Queen’s Theatre in Hornchurch has announced its spring season, which includes a new production of Priscilla, Queen of the Desert.

Patrick Hamilton’s Rope directed by artistic director Douglas Rintoul and co-produced with New Wolsey Theatre, will open the spring season.

The two theatres have previously collaborated on Made in Dagenham in 2016, and productions of Worst Wedding Ever and The Ladykillers.

In its 65th anniversary year, the Queen’s Theatre is set to revive Diane Samuels’ Kindertransport, directed by Anne Simon and co-produced with Les Theatres de la Ville de Luxembourg and in association with Selladoor.

It is being produced to mark the 80th anniversary of the Kindertransport, and will run in Luxembourg after Hornchurch, before a UK tour.

Priscilla, Queen of the Desert the Musical, based on the film of the same name, will show later in the season and is directed by Rintoul and choreographed by Darragh O’Leary.
