Nominations have now opened for The Stage Awards 2018, which include categories celebrating innovation, sustainability and the industry’s unsung hero.

The awards, now in their ninth year, celebrate theatre organisations as well as individual achievements. With 10 categories, the awards will include regional theatre of the year, producer of the year and an international prize.

Other categories that organisations can put themselves forward for include London theatre of the year, fringe theatre of the year, theatre building of the year and school of the year.

Alistair Smith, editor of The Stage, said: “The Stage Awards continue to celebrate the breadth of theatrical achievements from across the UK including West End, regional and fringe theatre. I encourage all theatres and performing arts organisations, regardless of size, to nominate themselves for consideration for The Stage Awards 2018.”

Last year’s winners included Sonia Friedman Productions, Sheffield Theatres and Matthew Bourne’s New Adventures.

Organisations can submit nominations here, and can nominate in multiple categories.

The deadline is November 19 with the shortlist announced in December.

Awards will be presented at a ceremony on January 26 at the Theatre Royal Drury Lane in London. It takes place in association with Integro Insurance Brokers Ltd.
