Nicholas Lyndhurst joins Katherine Jenkins in Carousel
Nicholas Lyndhurst is to return to the West End stage following a five-year hiatus, starring alongside Katherine Jenkins and Alfie Boe in Carousel.
As previously announced, the production is semi-staged and runs at the London Coliseum for 41 performances from April 7.
Lyndhurst last appeared on the West End stage in Trevor Nunn’s 2011 production of The Tempest.
He will play Star Keeper in Carousel, which will be directed by Lonny Price.
Further casting announced includes Brenda Edwards as Nettie Fowler, Gavin Spokes as Enoch Snow and Martyn Ellis as Mr Bascombe.
The show is produced by Michael Linnit and Michael Grade with English National Opera, the team that previously produced Sweeney Todd and Sunset Boulevard at the venue.
Press night is April 11.
