National Theatre announces casting for Trump verbatim piece
Casting has been announced for All The President’s Men? at the Vaudeville Theatre in London.
Sian Phillips, Sinead Cusack and Peter Davison are among the cast for the staged reading, which depicts scenes from the US Senate’s Confirmation Hearings.
The reading is directed by Nicolas Kent and presented by the National Theatre in London and the Public Theater in New York, where it will be performed in May.
All The President’s Men? is a staged reading of the cross-examination of nominees for President Donald Trump’s cabinet. Featuring verbatim sessions from the Senate, the reading dramatises the selection process of Rex Tillerson, Jeff Sessions, Tom Price and Scott Pruitt for the Trump administration.
The cast for the reading, which shows how the four men were questioned on their ethics, beliefs and political philosophies, also includes Allan Corduner, Daniel Betts, Nathan Osgood, James Woolley, Sarah Lam, Phil Davis, Demetri Goritsas, Matthew Marsh, David Calder, Simon Chandler, Joseph Balderrama, Michael Landes and Tim Woodward.
It will be performed on April 24.
