Natalie Dormer to star in West End premiere of Venus in Fur
Game of Thrones actor Natalie Dormer is to star in a new production of David Ives’ Venus in Fur in the West End.
Dormer will play Vanda Jordan alongside David Oakes as Thomas Novachek in the play, which looks at the intense relationship between an actor and director during an audition.
Patrick Marber will direct the play, which runs at the Theatre Royal Haymarket for nine weeks from October 6 until December 9.
Dormer previously worked with Marber on the Young Vic’s 2012 production of After Miss Julie.
Ives’ play, written in 2010, was turned into a film directed by Roman Polanski in 2013. This is its West End premiere.
Design is by Rob Howell and lighting by Hugh Vanstone. It is produced by TRH Productions.
Press night is October 17.
