Lilli Geissendorfer appointed new director of Jerwood Charitable Foundation
The independent grant-making organisation Jerwood Charitable Foundation has appointed Lilli Geissendorfer as its new director.
Geissendorfer, currently a producer at London’s Almeida Theatre, will take up her new position from January 22.
Based in London, Jerwood Charitable Foundation aims to support artists in their careers.
Filmmaker Vanessa Engle and editor of the Lawyer Catrin Griffiths have also recently been appointed to the foundation’s board of trustees.
As director, Geissendorfer will mark out the foundation’s strategy for the next four years, detailing the ways in which it will continue to support emerging artists.
Geissendorfer said: “I am so looking forward to joining such an interesting and influential team at a time when Jerwood Charitable Foundation’s mission feels more vital than ever.”
Deputy director Jon Opie, supported by the board of trustees, is leading the organisation until Geissendorfer takes up her role next year.
