Jennifer Saunders to return to the West End in Lady Windermere’s Fan
Jennifer Saunders, Samantha Spiro and Kevin Bishop are to star in Kathy Burke’s forthcoming production of Lady Windermere’s Fan in the West End.
It is part of a year-long season of Oscar Wilde plays at the Vaudeville Theatre, from Dominic Dromgoole’s new company, Classic Spring.
Saunders will play the Duchess of Berwick in the production, marking her return to the West End after more than 20 years.
Spiro will play Mrs Erlynne and Bishop has been cast as Lord Darlington.
The production begins previews on January 12, and runs until April 7. Press night is on January 22.
Other productions in the season include A Woman of No Importance, which opens next month, The Importance of Being Earnest and An Ideal Husband.
