Jonathan Bailey and Lesley Nicol have been announced as part of the cast for the forthcoming revival of Peter Gill’s The York Realist.

They join the previously announced Ben Batt in the cast, alongside Lucy Black, Brian Fletcher, Katie West and Matthew Wilson.

A co-production between the Donmar Warehouse and Sheffield Theatres, the play will be directed by the latter’s artistic director Robert Hastie.

It is designed by Peter McKintosh, with lighting by Paul Pyant and sound by Emma Laxton. The production also has music by Richard Taylor.

It opens first at the Donmar Warehouse, where it runs from February 8 to March 24, with press night on February 13. It will then transfer to Sheffield, running from March 27 to April 7.
