Felicity Kendal and Maureen Lipman are to star in Trevor Nunn’s new production of Lettice and Lovage at the Menier Chocolate Factory.

The production of Peter Shaffer’s satirical play will run at the London venue from May 4 to July 8, with press night on May 17.

Kendal, whose credits include A Room With a View at Theatre Royal Bath, has been cast as Lettice Douffet.

Lipman, who has previously appeared in A Little Night Music at the Menier Chocolate Factory, will play Lotte Schoen.

The production marks the first major revival of the play since it ran in the West End in 1987.

Nunn has previously directed musicals Aspects of Love and A Little Night Music at the Menier, in 2010 and 2008 respectively.
