Casting announced for James Graham’s Quiz
Gavin Spokes and Stephanie Street are to star in James Graham’s new play, Quiz, about the conviction of Charles Ingram.
Spokes will play Ingram, who was infamously dubbed the Coughing Major after cheating his way to winning the television game show Who Wants to Be a Millionaire? in 2001.
Street will play his wife Diana in the play, which premieres at Chichester Festival Theatre in November.
The cast also includes Nadia Albina, Paul Bazely, Keir Charles, Greg Haiste and Mark Meadows, alongside Henry Pettigrew, Jay Villiers, Lizzie Winkler and Sarah Woodward.
Directed by artistic director Daniel Evans, Quiz runs from November 3 to December 9, with press night on November 10.
It has design by Robert Jones, lighting by Tim Lutkin and music and sound by Ben and Max Ringham.
