Angels in America has confirmed a transfer to Broadway in spring 2018.

The National Theatre production, which closed August 19, will transfer to the Neil Simon Theatre in New York for an 18-week run from February 23.

Stars Nathan Lane, Andrew Garfield, Denise Gough and James McArdle will reprise their roles, however Russell Tovey will be the only lead cast member not to return for the Broadway run.

Tony Kushner’s two-part play was revived at the NT 25 years after its premiere, on Broadway.

Susan Brown, Nathan Stewart-Jarrett and Amanda Lawrence have also been confirmed to appear again, however no further casting has yet been announced.

This production is directed by Marianne Elliott, whose new theatre company, Elliott and Harper, joins as a producer for the New York run.

Other producers include the National Theatre and Jujamcyn Theaters.
