Target Live PR agency bought out by Havas Group

Theatre marketing and PR agency Target Live has been acquired by global communications firm Havas Group.

The France-based Havas Group has acquired a 100% stake in Target Live’s parent company, Target Media Communications Group, as part of its entertainment strategy. It will be run as part of Havas Media.

Target MCG comprises three other companies alongside Target Live, including media agencies Organic, Superhero and Target Media.

Target Live, which focuses on theatre and performing arts, spanning PR and publicity, advertising and marketing, is based in London and has recently worked on productions including Dirty Dancing, Ghost the Musical and shows at the Park Theatre.

Announcing the move, Target Live managing director Guy Chapman said: “In the short term, nothing changes but it will mean we have more resources to support our clients and their campaigns, as well as greater international reach.”

Paul Frampton, chief executive Havas Media Group UK and Ireland, added: “This firmly establishes our leadership position in the UK as the only group able to offer clients such deeply integrated end-to-end services across media and entertainment.”
