Stars including opera singer Lesley Garrett and comedian Eddie Izzard have recreated the South Bank Show’s iconic theme tune ahead of a new series of the show.

They join Frank Skinner and Jason Watkins in the video, which was recorded at the recent South Bank Sky Arts Awards.

The new series of the South Bank Show will feature episodes on writer Russell T Davies and Benedict Cumberbatch.

Cumberbatch will talk about Hamlet, which he starred in at the Barbican, including interpreting the famous To Be or Not to Be soliloquy.

Another episode will focus on Ballet Black, founded in 2001 by Cassa Pancho.

The series starts on June 15 on Sky Arts at 8pm.
