Julian Glover has pulled out of Chichester Festival Theatre’s production of Strife following a bout of pneumonia.

He will be replaced by William Gaunt in the production of John Galsworthy’s play, which is directed by Bertie Carvel.

It runs in the Minerva Theatre from August 12 to September 10, with a press night on August 18.

Meanwhile, Gawn Grainger has replaced John Hurt in The Entertainer, directed by Rob Ashford at the Garrick Theatre in London.

Hurt had to withdraw from the play on the advice of his doctors.

The play is part of the Kenneth Branagh Theatre Company’s season at the venue and plays from August 20 to November 12.
