War Horse will begin a major UK tour in 2017, opening at the Marlowe Theatre in Canterbury.

The play, which closes in the West End on March 12, begins touring on September 15, 2017  at the Marlowe Theatre, and will remain there until October 14.

It then plays at venues including the Bristol Hippodrome, the Empire Theatre in Liverpool, the New Theatre in Oxford, the Brighton Centre, the Alhambra Theatre in Bradford and the Nottingham Royal Concert Hall.

It is currently touring until April 2018.

War Horse is directed by Marianne Elliott and Tom Morris, and is based on Michael Morpurgo’s book of the same name.

The show premiered in October 2007 at the National Theatre, which is producing the UK tour. War Horse previously toured the UK and Ireland in 2013/14.
