Watch now: ‘Theatre collaboration isn’t easy’ – Southampton Nuffield’s Sam Hodges
Southampton Nuffield’s artistic director Sam Hodges has said that collaborating on theatre productions “isn’t easy”.
The venue was recently named Regional Theatre of the Year at The Stage Awards 2015.
Upon collecting his prize, Hodges told The Stage that funding cuts in the arts mean that venues have to adapt to different styles of working and producing.
He added: “There will inevitably need to be more collaboration, but collaboration isn’t easy. It’s often thought to be a way of getting more money in and broadening reach, which it is, but actually collaboration requires careful thought.”
