Su Pollard is to star in a London revival of Side by Side by Sondheim.

The Hi-de-Hi! actor will appear in the revue show that celebrates the work of Stephen Sondheim at the Jack Studio Theatre in south London from September 8 to 26. Press night is September 11.

Side by Side by Sondheim features songs from shows such as Company, Gypsy and Follies, and was last performed in London in 2007 at the Venue, now called the Leicester Square Theatre.

The cast also includes Marianne Benedict, who appeared in Women On the Verge of a Nervous Breakdown, and Grant McConvey. It is being narrated by one of the show’s original creators, Stuart Pedlar, who is also the musical director.

Side by Side by Sondheim is being staged in honour of Sondheim’s 85th birthday this year.

It has set design by Harriet Moar-Smith, sound by Jack Lord and is directed by Elliot Clay.

Lighting is by Ben Jacobs and the show is produced by the AC Group.
