Stephen Mangan becomes patron of English Touring Theatre

by -

Actor Stephen Mangan has joined English Touring Theatre as a patron.

He will work alongside Ian McKellen, who has been a patron of the production company since 1993.

In his role, he will act as an advisor to the company on the development of new work and programming.

The company said his “support and guidance” would help ensure it “remains at the forefront of theatre across the UK”.

Mangan said: “Touring theatre is an essential part of our industry and I’m honoured to be joining English Touring Theatre as a patron. For over 20 years the company has been at the forefront of top quality touring drama. I look forward to supporting their exciting future projects.”

ETT director Rachel Tackley said Mangan’s “wealth of experience and knowledge of the industry” made him a perfect partner for the company.
