Stephen Daldry’s An Inspector Calls to tour the UK from September

Stephen Daldry’s production of An Inspector Calls is to tour the UK from September.

The 28-week tour opens at the Orchard Theatre in Dartford on September 10 and continues until May 21, when it plays at the Lowry in Salford. Casting has yet to be announced.

Daldry’s production of JB Priestley’s play opened originally in 1992 at the National Theatre.

It was last seen in the West End in 2009, when it played at the Novello Theatre before transferring to Wyndham’s Theatre in 2010.

The show has music by Stephen Warbeck and lighting by Rick Fisher. It is designed by Ian MacNeil.

It is produced on tour by PW Productions, with Julian Webber as associate director.

The tour marks 70 years since the play premiered in Moscow in 1945.
