Sonia Friedman and Danielle Tarento will battle it out for producer of the year at The Stage Awards 2015, which also sees the Liverpool Everyman, London’s Young Vic and Leicester’s Curve pick up nominations.
Friedman – producer of King Charles III and Shakespeare in Love – and Tarento, who produced Dogfight in 2014 – have been nominated opposite Playful Productions in the producer section. Playful co-produced Wolf Hall and Bring Up the Bodies last year.
Leicester’s Curve has been nominated in the regional theatre of the year category, against the Nuffield in Southampton and the Ustinov Studio in Bath.
Meanwhile, the Liverpool Everyman is up for theatre building of the year, opposite Paines Plough’s Roundabout Theatre and the Sam Wanamaker Playhouse in London.
