Performance exploring Alzheimer’s disease to run at Southbank

An interactive promenade show is to run at the Southbank Centre to coincide with World Alzheimer’s Day.

Memory Point(s) has been created by theatre company Platform 4 and has been written in response to the company’s work with the Alzheimer’s Society and with early stage sufferers of the disease.

The interactive performance, which also uses installations, sculptures, films and photographs, will take place in the derelict spaces of the Queen Elizabeth Hall following its closure for redevelopment [1].

Music for the show has been written by Pete Flood, percussionist and songwriter for the band Bellowhead.

Memory Point(s) runs at the Southbank from September 24 to October 4 and opens following World Alzheimer’s Day on September 21.
