Natalie Dew and Lauren Samuels to lead Bend It Like Beckham cast
Natalie Dew and Lauren Samuels will lead the cast of the West End adaptation of Bend It Like Beckham.
Dew previously starred in both Teh Internet is a Serious Business and Rough Cut at the Royal Court, in addition to Twelfth Night at the Liverpool Everyman.
Samuels found fame as a finalist on the BBC’s I’d Do Anything, and has gone on to appear in Peter Pan – A Musical! at Leciester’s Curve and We Will Rock You at the Dominion Theatre.
Based on the 2002 feature film, Bend It Like Beckham will also star Jamie Campbell Bower and Ronni Ancona. Preeya Kalidas and Jamal Andreas also have roles in the musical, with Tony Jayawardena and Natasha Jayetileke completing the core cast.
First announced last October, the show will open at the Phoenix Theatre on May 15, with a press night on June 24.
It will be directed by Gurinder Chadha, and produced by Sonia Friedman Productions and Deepak Nayar Productions.
