Michael Ball becomes patron of Perfect Pitch
Michael Ball has become patron of musicals development body Perfect Pitch.
The announcement comes as Perfect Pitch reveals a partnership with DigitalTheatre.com that will see two of its shows, From Up Here and Lift, available to watch on demand.
Ball said that the UK had a “wonderful tradition of creating great musicals” and added: “It is essential we give emerging writers every opportunity to develop their craft and create the hit shows of tomorrow.”
Perfect Pitch executive producer Andy Barnes said Ball shared the company’s “passion in supporting emerging talent with new ideas for musicals”, and added: “We’re delighted that he’s committed some of his valuable time to further this cause.”
In partnership with video-on-demand site DigitalTheatre.com From Up Here, written by Aaron Lee Lambert, and Lift, by Craig Adams, will be available to watch online from April 7.
