Aaron Sidwell has been cast in Grey Gardens at Southwark Playhouse
by -

Aaron Sidwell is to join the cast of the European premiere of musical Grey Gardens.

He will perform alongside the previously announced Jenna Russell and Sheila Hancock in the production, which opens at Southwark Playhouse in January.

Sidwell will join the production directly from starring in American Idiot at the Arts Theatre, and will therefore not be performing in the show’s forthcoming UK tour.

Grey Gardens is directed by Thom Southerland and will also include Billy Boyle, Jeremy Legat, Ako Mitchell and Rachel Anne Rayham.

The musical, based on the 1975 documentary film of the same name, will begin a six-week run on January 2, with press night on January 7.

Grey Gardens has music by Scott Frankel, lyrics by Michael Korie and a book by Doug Wright.

It is produced by Danielle Tarento.
