Alison Arnopp will takeover as Dusty in the new musical.
by -

Musical Dusty has announced that Alison Arnopp will takeover as the show’s lead after her predecessor left the production.

Ellie Ann Lowe had been starring as Dusty/Mary O’Brien since the production began previews almost three months ago, however last week The Stage revealed that she would not continue in the role.

Several other cast members have also left within the last month, and the show recently brought in its third director, Christian Durham, who is listed as providing additional direction.

Dusty’s press night is scheduled for September 7 at the Charing Cross Theatre, and the full cast will include Francesca Jackson, Graham Kent, Leo Elso, Sienna Sebek and Harvey Robinson.

Witney White, Luke Thornton, Matt Blaker, Oliver Lynes and Ellen Verenieks also feature, while Jemma Geanaus, Nikkola Burnhope, Amanda Digon Mata, Megan Makin and Jonathan de Mallet Morgan complete the cast.

The show began previews on May 25 and was helmed by Chris Cowey, who is also the musical’s writer, alongside Kim Weild.

Dusty is produced by Freddie Madden, Michael Linnit, Patrice Wilson and Darren DeVerna, with Andrew Green as executive producer and Paul Howes as associate producer.
