Caroline Routh appointed in Nuffield management restructure
Southampton venue Nuffield is introducing a new management structure with the appointment of Caroline Routh as executive director.
Routh will work in partnership with artistic director Sam Hodges, who said she would help him lead the venue’s “ambitious cultural regeneration plans for the city”.
Routh is currently executive producer for development body Musical Theatre Network.
Hodges explained that the position had been created as the venue prepares to begin operating a new £22million arts centre in the city in 2016.
“It’s a really exciting time for Nuffield right now and we are thrilled to welcome Caroline to the team. Her expertise will help us build and lead on our ambitious cultural regeneration plans for the city and expand our programme across the city, region and beyond,” he said.
Routh was previously executive director of Northern Stage and administrative director of Battersea Arts Centre.
She joins in October.
