American Idiot extends UK tour
Green Day musical American Idiot has extended its UK tour by a month next year.
The show, which premiered in the UK at the Arts Theatre in London earlier this year, will begin its tour in March at Leicester’s Curve and was originally scheduled to run until June 4.
It will now play at four further venues including the Spa Theatre in Bridlington, Theatre Royal Nottingham, the Liverpool Empire and the Grand Opera House in Belfast, where the tour concludes on July 2.
Directed and choreographed by Racky Plews, the production stars Amelia Lily, Alexis Gerred and Llandyll Gove, who all reprise their roles alongside Lucas Rush and Steve Rushton.
Former cast member Aaron Sidwell will not be continuing for the tour as he will be appearing in Grey Gardens at Southwark Playhouse, which opens in January.
American Idiot is produced by Sell A Door Theatre Company, Stephen McGill Productions, Flying Music and SJM Concerts.
