Video: Shakespeare in Love releases trailer ahead of opening night

Shakespeare in Love, which is currently in previews at the Noel Coward Theatre, has released a trailer for the show, ahead of the play’s opening night on July 23.

Produced by Disney and Sonia Friedman Productions, it is the stage adaptation of the Academy Award-winning film that starred Joseph Fiennes, Gweneth Paltrow and Judi Dench.

The West End production stars Tom Bateman as William Shakespeare, Lucy Briggs-Owen as Viola De Lesseps and Anna Carteret as Queen Elizabeth.

The show has been adapted for the stage by Billy Elliot writer Lee Hall, and is directed by Declan Donnellan, with design by Nick Ormerod.

Music is by Paddy Cunneen, choreography by Jane Gibson, lighting by Neil Austin and sound by Simon Baker.
