Ticketmaster UK appoints Gary Roden to oversee theatre strategy
Ticketmaster UK has appointed Gary Roden as its business development director for theatre and the arts.
Roden joins the company from Parkwood Theatres, where he was managing director of the company’s four venues. He joined Parkwood in October last year.
In his role, he will be responsible for developing Ticketmaster’s strategy for theatre, arts and attractions, as well as managing relationships with clients.
Roden, who has previously worked as general manager at the Edinburgh Playhouse, said: “I am very excited about this role and thrilled to be joining the world’s leading ticketing agent and software platform.”
Ticketmaster UK managing director Andrew Parsons said that theatre, arts and attractions made up “a significant and valuable part” of the business, and added: “We are delighted to be focusing on this area as a key part of our growth strategy, with lots more innovative and engaging opportunities to come.”
He said Roden’s knowledge of the industry would be “an invaluable addition” to the company.
