Holiday entertainment specialists TEDGroup has completed a management buy-out from currrent owners Qdos, led by chief executive Robin Breese-Davies and managing director Amanda Donohue.
Incorporated in 2001 and acquired by Qdos in 2007, the Luton-based group aims to offer “an in-house one-stop shop approach to all entertainment and leisure requirements.” Originally specialising in UK holiday entertainment, it has expanded to become a leading provider of entertainment to both the domestic and international travel sectors, as well as to casinos and the high street.
It currently operates four divisions offering be-spoke solutions ranging from single artist bookings to full productions.
Breese-Davies said: “This exciting development marks a new era. We are extremely proud to have been part of the prestigious Qdos group and look forward to evolving our products and services – which we create, manage and deliver in house – even further across the globe. TEDGroup will continue to provide quality entertainment solutions and world-class products to a variety of clients and customers. We have exciting developments in the pipeline that we look forward to announcing later this summer”.
Qdos chairman Nick Thomas said: “We are delighted that Robin has successfully led the MBO for the acquisition of TED. The business has been an excellent investment for Qdos and it will continue to thrive for many more years to come under Robin’s capable leadership.”
No indication of the value of the buy-out or other details has been released.
