Philip Quast has joined Emma Thompson and Bryn Terfel in the cast of Lonny Price’s production of Sweeney Todd.

Quast will reprise his role as Judge Turpin in the semi-staged West End production of the Stephen Sondheim musical, which ran in New York earlier this year.

Directed by Price, Sweeney Todd – The Demon Barber of Fleet Street will feature the English National Opera orchestra, conducted by David Charles Abell and with orchestrations by Jonathan Tunick.

The show will open at the London Coliseum on March 30, 2015, and will run until April 12, with a press night on March 31.

Further casting is yet to be announced.
