Paul Kerryson’s last production as artistic director of Leicester’s Curve will be The Sound of Music, which will run at the venue this Christmas.

The Rodgers and Hammerstein musical will preview from November 28, with press night on December 3. It will run until January 17, 2015.

Kerryson announced at the end of 2014 that he would be stepping down from his post at Curve at the end of the year.

He has been artistic director of Curve since 2008, and prior to this he was artistic director of the Haymarket Theatre in Leicester, a role he took up in 1991.

His previous Christmas productions have included Hello, Dolly! starring Janie Dee, and most recently Chicago, which runs until January 18.

Casting for The Sound of Music, which is presented through special arrangement with R and H Theatricals Europe, has not been announced.
