Hugh Jackman, Cush Jumbo and Laura Donnelly are to star in the Broadway transfer of the Royal Court Theatre’s production of The River.

The play, by Jez Butterworth, will be directed by Ian Rickson and will run at the Circle in the Square Theatre from this autumn.

It marks the Broadway debut for both Donnelly  – who appeared in the original production in London – and Jumbo.

Design is by Ultz, lighting by Charles Balfour, sound by Dickinson for Autograph and music is by Stephen Warbeck.

The show premiered at the Royal Court in October 2012, starring Dominic West and directed by Rickson.

On Broadway, the production will run for 13 weeks from October 31 to January 25, 2015. It is produced by Sonia Friedman Productions, which first developed the play in London.
