Dreamboats and Petticoats sequel to tour the UK
A sequel to musical Dreamboats and Petticoats, called Dreamboats and Miniskirts, will open at the Theatre Royal in Windsor this summer.
Produced by Bill Kenwright and Laurie Mansfield, the musical is written by Laurence Marks and Maurice Gran, who penned Goodnight Sweetheart and Birds of a Feather, and who also wrote the original musical.
It will feature songs from the 60s, including Twist and Shout and Pretty Woman.
After opening in Windsor, where it runs from August 6 to 16, it will tour the UK until March, 2015, when it is scheduled to appear at the Waterside Theatre in Aylesbury.
The musical is produced by Kenwright and Mansfield in association with Universal Music, which will release an album called Dreamboats and Miniskirts in July.
Casting has not yet been announced.
