Musical The Lion King will be licensed to schools from January next year.
There will be two versions of the musical available – a 30-minute version for primary schools and 70-minute adaptation for secondary schools.
Schools will also get resource materials to help teachers and students learn about stagecraft and performance.
The Lion King, with music by Elton John and lyrics by Tim Rice, celebrates its 15th birthday at the Lyceum Theatre in London on October 19.
More than 1,000 people are reported to have queued for 750 pairs of free tickets to its anniversary performance.
There are currently 10 productions of The Lion King around the world, including ones in Brisbane and Tokyo.
The musical is directed by Julie Taymor, who won a Tony award for her work on the production.
